    Some patients experience hypersomnia — in which they sleep far more than normal and may be extra drowsy after a head injury. Others experience insomnia — in which they have difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep.

    Even worse, post-concussion symptoms may not simply go away with time and rest (if that happens, it’s known as post-concussion syndrome, or PCS).
